Dermal Fillers

The immediate, non-surgical way to enhance existing features such as fuller lips and cheekbones, a more defined chin. Dermal fillers can also restore areas with deep folds and volume loss such as sunken, tired looking under-eyes, naso-labial folds or camouflage facial asymmetries.

Hyaluronic Acid

The 'active ingredient' in reversible dermal fillers and commonly referred to as HA, it is a naturally occurring sugar molecule that can retain 1,000 times its weight in water. Injected HA closely resembles the hyaluronic acid that naturally exists in our bodies. Once injected under the skin, it attracts and binds water in the surrounding tissue increasing volume and hydration.

Dermal fillers are:

Reversible

Dermal Fillers are not permanent. Over time the body naturally breaks them down. How quickly this happens depends on the product used and your own metabolism and can range from 9-24 months.

Dermal fillers can be reversed much more quickly by injecting Hyaluronidase; the naturally occurring enzyme that the body uses to break down HA.
