≈ What is Profhilo?
Profhilo® is an injectable treatment containing a highly pure form of synthetic hyaluronic acid (HA) - a naturally occurring sugar molecule - which improves skin quality. The product contains one of the highest concentrations of HA on the market.
≈ How does it work?
Profhilo® acts as a hydrator, not a filler. It is injected just below the surface of the skin where it works to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin by slowly releasing HA. Collagen and elastin help to boost the appearance of your skin and have a lifting and tightening effect on the tissues.
≈ What results can I expect?
Results are gradual (over 4-6 weeks) and you can expect your skin to improve in firmness, elasticity and overall quality. Maximum lift, hydration and tightening occurs after about 8 weeks. For the best results, you will need a course of 2 treatments, 4 weeks apart.
≈ How long will it last?
This varies from person to person but on average, results last for approximately 6 months. At this point you can choose to maintain the results with additional treatment or allow your skin to return to its pre-treatment appearance over time.
